Funny how the smallest changes can turn one's world upside down. The folks decided to move, yet again, and I had an all out flippin' conniption. Well, what else do you expect when the decision was made and a bid submitted for a new house without so much as a, "Oh by the way, we're selling the house. You know, the house that we said was going to be our last house in NJ because we know that all this moving from one place to another throughout your entire life must have screwed you up quite a fair bit?" Anyway, a truckload of drama inevitably ensued, which in a nutshell included the bid getting withdrawn, me feeling like the scum of the earth, and the opportunity to have the bid resubmitted. It's a regular soap opera around here, I tell you. So come November, I'll once again be packing up my life and moving into another house. Supposedly the absolutely last house that my parents will buy in NJ, for real. Well, we'll see about that. Needless to say, I won't be putting any roots down any time soon based on anyone else's word but my own.

I can hardly believe that it was only a few weeks ago that I seriously considered buying this t-shirt because it was such an appropriate reflection of what I felt. Funny how much things can change if you only hang in there a little while longer. Not that everything is coming up roses now, but at least there's hope that every now and then, I'll be in a situation where the people around me are down to earth, kind, polite, genuine, and...oh right, extraordinarily talented.
