About 2 years ago during a trip back to Singapore, I saw a Beard Papa store at Ngee Ann City and saw how popular it was. Then in the recent weeks, I caught glimpses of the Santa-ish mascot near the Barnes & Noble store on Astor Place and was pleasantly surprised to see that they've decided to crack the New York market. Apparently, there's already a store on the Upper East Side selling the fresh cream puffs and people have been lining up around the block for them! And in other delicious food-related news, there's now also a Cold Stone Creamery that just opened a few months ago in the same area. Great, now I really can't move too far from this neighborhood!
Cirque du Soleil are putting the finishing touches on their new production titled, KA. It will be showing only at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Looks intriguing. The website is certainly one of the best Flash sites that I've seen in a while.

In other news, it's been three years since terrorists took the lives of thousands in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. The NY Times has a brief slideshow titled "Rituals of Grief" that exhibits the various ways that people are mourning.
