Damn, I love my PowerBook! I just spent the last 6 hours doing things like adding my own pictures to my Clie (too bad iSync doesn't automatically include pictures when it syncs my Clie's address book and my OS X Address Book), adding artwork to iTunes, and adding more tracks to iTunes from my CD collection. Which brings me to...I LOVE MY CD COLLECTION! Yes, I'm supposed to be working on my Final Masters Project, but doing all this other stuff was so invigorating I feel like I can write 2 60-page papers now!

For those of you who are still struggling to make your PC-biased Clie play nice with your Mac, check out the PictureGear Pocket Photoshop Plugin. It lets you "Save as..." in Photoshop in the .prc format that is recognized by the PG Pocket software bundled in the Clie. Two querks about this plug-in is that it's not compatible with any Photoshop versions running on OS X and that you have to manually change the file extension to .prc in order for PG Pocket to see the file. First I saved the default image from PG Pocket onto my Memory Stick then I used my Cyber-shot (so I didn't have to buy a separate Memory Stick reader) to mount the Memory Stick on my desktop. After saving the .prc files in Photoshop, I dragged the files into the same directory as the one of the default image.

Adding images to applications just makes them so much more personal, I think. In terms of the Clie, it's like carrying a stack of pictures with me at all times. With iTunes, seeing the cover of the CD can enhance the listening experience by being a reminder of the vibe of the album, the attitude of the artist, and or the time that it was released. It's all good stuff.

Don't tell me that the newly redesigned allmusic.com isn't compatible with IE on a Mac! Nothing happens when I enter a name and click on "Go". It looks like they're forcing people to register in order to use the site too. You know what they're going to ask for next, right? $.
