Drop whatever you're doing and check out 1 Giant Leap. I first heard of them when I was in Singapore and was instantly attracted to their idea of traveling the world for the sake of making music. For one of my final papers this semester, I decided to research the project even more since 1) I can't write more than 2 pages if I don't care about what I'm writing, 2) most papers in that particular class are usually quite dry due to their extremely technical nature (and understandably so considering the purpose of the class) and I wanted to give everyone a break during the string of student presentations by talking about an exciting application of technology instead of the technology itself and 3) I wanted to share this extraordinary discovery with an audience who would share my enthusiasm since most of us were music lovers first and pursued all this education in Music Technology in order to further our involvement with the artform and 1 Giant Leap is an example of people who are "out there" with that in mind as well. During my research, I dug up loads of interviews with Duncan Bridgeman and Jamie Catto--the frontmen of the endeavor. The more I found out about their views on the project and the process and result of it, the more intrigued I was. When I finally sat down to experience the DVD, I was in such wonder of what they've achieved that I've been unable to keep myself from talking about it with practically everyone who crosses my path. So please, click on over to their website, take a listen to their CD or get a hold of their DVD. There's a bit of everything in there no matter who you are, where you are or what your interests may be.

Yes! I got the very last VIP ticket for the Manchester United vs. Juventus match at Giants Stadium! Sadly, I found out about Man U's American tour a couple of weeks after the tickets went on sale otherwise I would have used all of my means to get better seats. But I might just have another plan up my sleeve... For now, I'm so excited about having access to the practice session the day before the game. Hopefully I'll be able to get some autographs and nice pictures!

Four more weeks of school left--whoopee! I didn't expect this semester to be so hard on me but I guess with a combination of three hard core textbook classes and waaaaaaay to many papers to write, I became officially drained at the nine-week mark--Spring Break did absolutely nothing for me since I worked right through it. The remaining semesters should be a nice change though. I'm looking forward to more hands-on learning and less formulas. Now I have to suck it up and whip out the remaining final papers, presentations and projects and then I'll be home free...until my final thesis deadline looms over me about a year from now.

Quitting out of AOL's webmail now produces two pop-ups (you know, in case you weren't annoyed enough with just one). Another reason to cancel my subscription.

Even though I wasn't quite in the mood for a mellow evening, I enjoyed the Jars of Clay and Caedmon's Call concert in Trenton tonight. It was a nice change to see such a stripped down show that still packed a punch.
