What a cool idea: Ticketstubs is a site where people get to show pictures of the ticket stubs that they've saved over the years and tell the stories behind them. Excellent reading material while you're waiting for iDVD to burn a bloody disc (for those of you want to know, 10 minutes of footage takes 35 minutes to "prepare" and burn).
Anyway, I know I've got some stories about some of the stubs that I have so I'll make an effort to post to Ticketstubs soon.
Here's a handy tip for all the cool kids who are on OS X: if you're using Apple's Mail application with an account that you occassionally access through another interface (in other words, you're using other means of retrieving and sending mail along with Mail; for example, you use a web interface at work and Mail at home) there is a way to store mail that you've sent onto Mail even though you've sent them outside of Mail.
1) First, make sure that for all the applications that you use to send mail the option to "Save sent mail" is turned on.
2) Then go into that other application/interface and move the sent mail that you wish to save to the Inbox. This can also be done by telling it to "Keep as new".
2) Open Mail and retrieve your messages.
3) Within Mail, move the e-mails that you want to save to the Sent folder (drag and drop will work here). Mail will automatically detect that you're the sender and will format headings appropriately (unlike AOL).
Thanks to VH-1's "What It's Like: TLC" I was reminded of the early genius of Ooooooohhh...on the TLC Tip when T-Boz and Chilli were re-enacting their first experiences in the studio recording their debut album. Hearing snippets of "Hat 2 Da Back" was enough motivation to walk into Virgin Megastore and pick up the CD (I actually have the album on cassette, but since it's good ass-shakingly great music, what the heck...).
I also picked up Dirty Dancing since Virgin seems to be having some kind of hits-for-$10 sale.
I just got back from my trip and I'm now reluctantly getting back into the swing of things. It's such a bizzarre experience to be in one place one day and 24 hours later, you're on the other side of the earth living a very different life. Anyway, I had an excellent Christmas and New Year's hope you did too. :)
